"I had the most enjoyable and comfortable stay at Cobh Holiday Home for more than 2 weeks. The unit is ideally located in front of the harbor far away from the noise of the town center but a convenient stroll to bistros, pubs, restaurants, shops, a couple of grocery stores, etc. The local train station is a 10 minute walk - hop in and you will be in Cork City within 23 min. The ornate, neo-gothic, St. Colman Cathedral on top of a hill is walkable. The house is well laid out and furnished with all amenities from big screen TV to washer/dryer. The vista from the bay window is spectacular with unobstructed view of the waters and Spike Island. Never a day goes by without an Irish navy boat, cruise ship, or barge, sailing through within waving distance. The maritime pilot boats are kept busy navigating vessels in and out of the harbor. Its an amazing sight to watch and a perfect way to just chill out.
The host was great and accommodating. He was sensitive to the fact that I am a senior traveling solo. He graciously offered a complimentary pick up upon arrival and departure from/to local train station. He was also kind enough to give me a thorough orientation to familiarize me with the towns layout. It eased the stress out of being a first timer in Ireland. This is definitely a place I would stay again, a kind of host I want to deal with, and a picturesque town I will not hesitate to visit a 2nd time around. I had a memorable vacation. Thanks to the lovely town of Cobh and the friendly locals."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cobh Holiday Home, so much so, we did not want to leave. The sun was shining through the apartments large picture windows when we walked in, and the view from the windows was stunning. You could not be more water front! The apartment was scrupulously clean in each room. The lounges and bed were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, as was the bathroom, and instructions for various appliances were easy to follow. There is a designated car space right outside the front door. It is an easy walk to the waterfront shopping centre in one direction, and a memorial park to the Titanic in the opposite direction. There is also a shopping centre on the outskirts which has a number of large supermarkets (however you need to drive to that area). Our host was friendly, professional, informative and very obliging. We would recommend Cobh Holiday Home to anyone planning to stay in the Cork and Cobh area."

"Cobh holiday home is perfect for a family. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants. The view over the harbour out to Spike Island and beyond is magnificent. It is a quiet area and the beds are very comfortable. We all slept wonderfully every night. If you like to watch tv in the evenings, there is a good selection of channels and also a range of dvds and videos. There is even an open gas fireplace. We stayed during the summer but I would not hesitate to stay during the winter as the house has heating throughout.
If you have a couple of kids with you, there are playgrounds nearby. You can fish in front of the house if you have a bit of gear with you. There is also an indoor swimming pool not far away and a pitch and putt. The Heritage Centre was great. Cork is only 20 minutes away on the train if you want a bit more city life. At the end of the day or night it was always a pleasure to come back to Cobh Holiday home. We will be back."

"My family stayed at this accomodation for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is set in an ideal and scenic location for exloring cobh. My children loved watching all the ships and boats that sailed pass our living room window (you almost feel you are sailing yourself). The washing machine is an added bonus and it was great to be able to wash the clothes and have them clean for going home. The house is a perfect size and we felt totally at home in it. The locals are really friendly and everyone we passed greeted us with a cheery hello! We found loads of things to do in cobh to keep us and the children entertained. We visited the fota wild life park, leahys farm (fab family day out), blarney castle (you can't visit cork and not go to blarney castle and kiss the blarney stone), coral/aura leisure centre, heritage centre, local play park (about 5 minutes walk past the heritage centre), trabolgan holiday centre (petrol go-carts are a must), harbour boat trip, etc. We easily filled our days and had a great family holiday and would recommend it to anyone."

"We enjoyed our stay at Cobh Holiday Home. We would have liked to stay longer 3 days was too short. The view from your home was splendid and all we wanted to see in Cobh was within walking distance it was perfect."

"Lovely spacious house with great views of Cork Harbour across to Spike Island. Ideally located with easy access to the shops and restaurants of Cobh. We have already booked our next visit."

"My kids and I will definitely stay here again - all the comforts of home with fabulous harbor views. Sitting in the front room, it looked as if the water began right at the window."
